Default #3 body mount issues

Looking for some advice. Doing a frame off on a 1974 coupe, this is the #3 body mount, body side, drivers side. As you can see there are some rust issues, rest of rocker panel is no rust and great shape. Passenger #3 is good shape, both #2s will require the splice in repair, rust in the kick panel area but underneath of rocker is clean. Birdcage is rust free except for these areas. The #3 has good metal going up the side, could I put a U shaped patch on this and maybe weld a small patch on the underneath rocker over the hole? Or just POR 15 it and let it go? Frame has no rust issues, just got it back from sand blast yesterday. Only had to cut the bolts on both #4, rest came out without breaking
Did a frame off on a 72 about 10 years ago and had the luxury of no rust so I am in unfamiliar area

on way to sandblast

I had the same problem with my '73. You can purchase replacement rocker channels that run from the front mount to the rear mount. I purchased mine from a place in MI. I don't recall the name. They were good quality and fairly easy to weld in place. I think they were about $100 each side. Might be worth checking out. If you go this route you will need to add some shims to the other body mounts to make up for the thickness of the channels.

thanks for the reply, you changed the entire rocker or just the areas at the body mounts?
