Default Hi Perf Pass Casting

Hi All
I have looked at a 1968 L-36 for a friend of mine and on the engine block facing the ground the following was written: Hi Perf Pass and a code 3899621 (that I can not relate to). The normal engine block casting nr and date near the waterpump was correct, as well as the assembly date and engine block vin.
So is this 427/390 o.k or is it an engine block from a truck or an imapala (or other passenger car)?.
The Rochester carb nr also seemed a bit wird: 1 7057291 (could this be a small block carb and would it fit?)
Any comments would be great!! :D
I should probably also post this in the factory correct resto thread.

That casting number doesn't show up on http://www.mortec.com so I don't know about that. By it saying "PASS" that means that it is a passenger car engine as opposed to a truck block which has a taller deck. If the numbers match on the stamp pad and it doesn't look like it has ever been decked, I would say that it is the original engine in the car.
