I've never purchased a hi-performance catalitic converter before and desparately need suggestions. Any particular brands better than others? I'm replacing my stock mufflers with Flowmasters and already have the new SS piping. The only thing I need to get before I can start putting it on is a hi-flo cat. I'm not sure what materials they are made from, but the most common seems to be SS and that's what I want anyway.
Leo's81,
I use a test pipe on my 81 coupe. It works great and sounds great. It cost me $39.00 shipped to my door from California. It only took me 20 minutes to put it in and it fit like a glove. I saved my old converter in case I need it for inspection.
I'll third the vote for car sound. Got mine from Muffler Tech in CA. $59.00 each. They are 1/3 the size of stock, and you can practically see right through them. :D

Hey all, thanks for the suggestion! I'll check it out. For those that are using a test pipe, I plan to also, but I want to get a new cat for inspection. Any suggestions of where I can pick one up? I'd like to get one that "fits like a glove".
