Default Time to get rollling again!

After a couple years of sitting around the garage I am ready to get my 77 running again. I took a completed restomod back down to modify some things I was not happy with and it has turned into a fairly large project. I am running a 408 stroker motor with fuel injection. I had a Accel gen7 ECM but could not do the required tuning and there are no EMIG's close by so I decided to install the Holley Dominator. I will be running dual wide band sensors. When pulling my headers to have the additional sensor bung welded in I got the bug to fix my header problem. I have Dart pro1 215 angle plug heads that have give me clearance problems with my Hookers as well as the stainless headers that Motorhead prototyped. I just bought a set of Kooks after they assured me there would be no clearance problems. On the top end they fit fine but I have a small clearance problem with the steroid rack. I would like to fabricate a new bracket for the rack and relocate it a half inch to the drivers side from its current location. Does anyone know of any adverse affect this would have or any other reason not to do this? Also, the kooks headers are slip fit on the collector. Would a stainless butt band make a good connection for this or do I need to weld on a flange? I used the bands at my mufflers and never had a problem but obviously there is more heat at the collector.

Thanks for any input
