Default Seatback Lock Problem

I know what I did wrong. Now I need ideas on how to fix it.

I assembled the passenger seat seatback locking strap wrong.

The driver side was assembled (by me) correctly:

But the passenger side was assembled (by me) incorrectly:

The bottom anchor mount is reversed, not allowing the top latch to engage and do it's job.

I don't want to remove the upholstery to access the entire strap just to reverse the bottom anchor mount. Unless I have to.

Is it necessary to reverse the top part of the strap as well? I can't remember if it is directional, like the bottom is.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

Easy fix. Just unbolt the bracket from the seat bottom and pull the whole strip of steel out from the seat back guide. Flip it over and reinsert it into the guide. Made that mistake myself and there is no need to panic!

You guys are GREAT!

Thanks so much.
Steve

Proceeded as suggested. 30 minutes later, the seat now locks.
Thanks again!

Steve
