Default Fan clutch question

While replacing my water pump on my ’78 L-48 PC I decided to remove a few more parts to repaint and generally improve the looks under the hood. Tonight when starting to put it all back together I notice on page 317 of the Mid America Assembly Manual one note which read “the fan clutch yellow paint mark is to be matched with blue paint mark on O.D. & backside of water pump hub at asm.” I vaguely remember seeing that yellow mark as I was painting the flange on the fan clutch…..Does it really matter how the water pump, pulley, fan and fan clutch are bolted together?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

As long as all four bolts/studs are the same and are torqued the same it doesn't matter which bolt goes in which hole as they are all symetrical.
