Anyone have experience with adding an electric fan to draw more
air thru the condensor?
I have a 1980 L82 which has the factory electric fan, which is
activated by temperature (it rarely runs). Would it improve
A/C performance to add a relay to trigger the fan whenever the
compressor starts?
Or would it only improve A/C performance at very low speeds?
I also have 1980 L48 which does not have the electric fan.
Some time ago I purchased a used one and was thinking of
adding it, if it would improve A/C performance.
Re: Adding electric fan for A/C improvement (mark79,80)
IMHO, Triggering the fan to come on when the AC is on would certainly improve the performance. I plan on setting my dual Spals to come on when the AC compressor comes on.
