I don't normally do this but I am posting this in hopes it will help anyone who is looking for a cam. I just met and had lunch with Chris Straub ( http://www.straubtechnologies.com/ and his crew. I must say that they are all very genuine and nice guys and when it comes to cam knowledge, Chris is one of the best around. In addition he is very personable and dedicated to providing not only an excellent product but great customer service and support as well. For anyone who is currently searching for a cam or will be in the future I suggest you contact Chris to discuss your cam needs. I am on my third Straub cam ( 2 big blocks and now a small block) and I can honestly say that I am very pleased with the product AND the customer service and support. Here is a short video of a Straub hydraulic roller cam in my 427 ZL-1 engine.

Thanks Chris and crew for your )support.....

I urge anyone who is thinking about a new cam or changing cams to at least call Chris. Chris can grind a cam suited to a customer's particular engine / car/ trans / driving style combinations. Most cam companies offer their "generic, off-the-shelf" cam and this is not always the best choice. It would be worth the call. http://www.straubtechnologies.com/

No Bill......................not an ad. I'm sure Straub Tech does that for themselves. I am merely sharing my experience with Straub's cams in hopes that others would fully investigate all camshaft options before making a selection. Sorry if my post offended you.

WOW! that is one beautiful vette! Wanna trade straight across for a '77?
I agree with your assessment of Chris and his crew. Great costomer service, even when there is nothing in it for them. Hard to find that kind of business model these days.

Thanks for the recommendation Rex. I am on Chevelles forum too, and Chris and his company have quite the following there as well. Have never seen a negative post and his cam choices always seem to deliver. His customer service is second to none. I plan on using him for the next iteration of my 502 in the coming months. Car looks great and sounds great too.
