The only component of a C3 brake system that is inferior to a modern disc brake system is the iron 4 piston fixed racing style caliper versus an aluminum caliper on a modern car, but really only if you race the C3 where the brakes will be exposed to sustained high temperature-on the street the difference would not even be noticed. The vented front and vented rear 12 inch discs of the C3 are actually in most cases versus a modern car BETTER with a 4 piston fixed racing caliper. at each wheel. The actual vented discs on the C3 are no different. In fact, few cars have a vented rear disc today with a 4 piston calper and often have a floating 2 piston frot caliper which is not as good as the C3 caliper....

In most cases today, the C3 brakes are SUPERIOR to "modern" brakes....
