71 rear window defogger
I just rebuilt the blower motor on my 1971 ,rear window defogger - it was dated 12/69 and is original to the car. Original GM well nuts, no marks on the screws and a drop of yellow paint on one bolt. (top front)
My question is that there are 3 wires on the switch, the purple is high and the yellow w/ the fuse is the feed. I think I found somewhere (a month ago) that the other is a resister wire for low?
The high works fine, the low (?) only sparks lightly with no motor reaction. (if it is a resistor wire -then it's bad)
My Assembly Manuel shows only 2 wires as does my wiring diagram.
Is anyone sure if there was actually 3 wires on the switch.
My 72 does not have the option so I can't use as I have in the past as my go to example.

My next adventure(s) will be the melted speedo cable and clutch. Not sure if I will use the 90 degree for the tranny connection. If anyone has any thoughts it would be appreciated.
Thanks

PURPLE WIRE IS HIGH SPEED, TAN WIRE IS THE FEED AND THE YELLOW WITH THE FUSE IS THE LOW.
