Sometimes the starter on the 82 won't crank. I had the
battery tested and it seems fine. I don't think it is heat soak
as it does it when the engine is hot or cold. All I will get is a
light clunk when the key is turned. After several attempts,
the car will start normally.
Does this sound like a starter or solenoid problem? I have
not looked at the Haynes manual or AIM manual yet, is changing
these parts difficult and is there any tips not listed in the manual
that will help?
