removing sparkplugs?
What tricks or advice does anyone have about removing sparkplugs in a 1970 convert, sitting for 12 yrs, with hooker headers?
My straight sparkplug wrench won't fit? (rubber insert in way), haven't tried a deep socket yet (size?)? (flex wrench?) Need to find one?
I can see all the plugs from the top, just that a standard plug socket with rubber insert won't go over plug, no space.
Don't say take the headers off?, But if I have to go that far should I put stock exhaust back?
Any help apreciated. Thanks...

Just use an open end wrench to loosen them, then spin them out with your fingers.

I took a spark plug socket and cut it so that it stuck out from the head a little, then welded a nut on the end. It turns out it not only works well on the vette with headers but on evey other small block I have.

They sell wrenches specificaly for that...with the round part lower when you look at it from the side. I'd take a pic if I had a camera handy... :(

I'll have to see if my handy neighbor can cut a socket for me and weld a nut on it, or may he has just the tool. He works on old a Studebaker and few other old cars. (and someday he'll get his 1962 corvette back together!)

Re: removing sparkplugs? (Lohkay)
Where can I get a specific wrench you mentioned? Does it have an angle to it or part removed? (a picture would help)
I'll also will have to try an angled box wrench and pentrating oil.

I took the rubber insert out of the spark plug socket, put it on the plug and use a wrench on the end. All you have to do is break the seal and it will spin out by hand.
