Simple Exhaust Pipe Question
I am installing a new exhaust system on my 74 L82. The exhaust pipes are going to be 2.5" mandrell bent pipes, of course duel exhaust.
My question is, what is the best choice of pipe to use, S.S, Aluminum or , isn't there an Aluminized (sp) steel????

stainless steel will last forever and a day if you use stainless welding wire, otherwise the welds will rust out.
alluminized steel will last about 5 years, as long as you drive the car 3-5 times a week, otherwise they will rust from the inside in a couple of years.
midas and other cheap places use plain steel, it will last only a year or two.
they don't make aluminum exhaust pipe
