Default No VA Corvette Show...Aftermath

First let me thank our Sponsors...
Koons Chevrolet, MTI Racing, West Coast Corvettes, Desgin Specialties, Vette Essentials, Zaino Brothers, C5R Racing Team, Andy Piligrim, and Stingray Autobody....plus all the other vendors who contributed small items

Have a lot of positive comments from both participants and spectators. It is the full intention of the Norther Virginia Corvette Club to hold the show next year at the same place and same week, first week in August. The Northern Virgnia Corvette Club, planned and put this show together in three months...it was very hard work, and everybody in the club pitched in to make it very successful. Man, I have to say our membership is the best, they worked their buns off to make this happen.

Thanks to Reese *** and Pat Goss for there support and both told me they would be back next year (God willing).

Reese *** (MTI RACING Marrietta, GA) drove up and was a great source of information to all the Vette racers who showed up. He explained in detail the building out of his new product the 427/500 and 427/600 HP engines. Reese was very approachable and very informative.

Pat Goss arrived after his show, and talked for hours to people, and was just about the last person that left the hall....he was great and very impressed with the quality of Corvettes at the show.

We had a total of 61 of the finest Corvettes on the road, more C2's then C5s, and the best of show was a 93 C4, which is one fine car. Over three hundred spectators came out for the show. Had couple of small gliches during the show, but overall the show was great. We have T-shirst left over, anybody interested email me, they are really nice shirts.

My only disappointment was, I wish we could have reached 100 Corvettes at this show, but I understand that people really did not learn about the show and some got no word at all. So all and all we still had a lot of cars.

I really hope we can pull in more quality cars next year. Club broke even on expenses and I think the people who came enjoyed the show in spite of the heat.

Next year we will have the whole center air conditioned. I think the NVCC achieved its goal of doing a show of quality cars, and having people go away looking forward to returning next year.

Thanks to Blue Wasp for posting the photos of the show...hope to have more photos up on the NVCC web site soon.

Cheers to all, and mark off the first Sunday of August 2003 for this show to return......Think you would really like our show. Collin, NVCC Concours Chairperson....
