69 trans leak

69 trans leak

installed a 383 stroker motor, 460 hp from Tristar engines, no problems --
now have a leak on top of trans at shifter --
is there an easy way to get to this from inside the car?

what transmission are you talking about? I can not think of any Muncie or TH400 that would leak on top of transmission at shifter since the shifter for both transmissions is external.

4 speed muncie, seams to be leaking on the side, but to hard to get to from underneath --

If you are referring to the where the shifter shafts extend from the case, they have seals and this has to be done from underneath.

And many Muncie leaks are from the midplate- between the main case and tail housing. That's where mine was leaking from. And I've seen many others leaking at the same place. Not a bad leak, just one of those annoying little drips.
