Invisible to radar?

I saw some independent tests of Radar/Laser jammers and the Phazer and Phantom didn't have ANY effect on the police radar/lasar guns...
The only LASAR jammers that worked good were the Blinder MT-10 and the K40 Diffuser Plus... All the other devices provided low or no protection against lasar. The only RADAR jammers that actually work are illegal and can get you in big trouble.... The ones that are advertised as LEGAL - DON't WORK!!! Don't throw your money out of the window!

It seems to me..the only way you can 'jam' a beam of light (i.e. laser) is to diffuse it...since that beam of light can be pointed at any particular part of your car - I dont see how any device - suction cupped to your windshield is going to be able to do ANYTHING.
If you want to make your car invisible to laser guns then paint your car with a thick coat of primer - flat black - then sand it lightly with 80 grit paper, this will cause any light striking your car to be highly diffused as the albedo of your car's surface will be significantly reduced....
Real Radar jammers transmit on the same frequency as the radar it intends to jam in an effort to falsify the readings or overpower the reciever on the other end (as I understand anyway). Fiberglass is more or less transparant to radar, but the underlying steel is not.
I wouldnt waste my time on a radar jammer any more than I would put slick-50 in my crankcase, either slow down or take your chances.....

A person I know says that he has seen cops bang their radar gun as if it was faulty when he drives by.
I suspect a person you know - exaggerates heavily - or is suffereing from self-deception....this device works...It must - I have the device...I speed...I have got no tickets...ergo..pbbbbbbbbbbbtttttt - I speed, have never had such a device and havent got a ticket in over 8 years......

The K40 Diffuser Plus .....Like the Blinder with its similar array of low-powered LEDs, the Diffuser Plus was able to jam our three laser guns only if the plate itself was targeted. Once the aim was shifted, often by as little as six inches, the Mustang was nailed every time. We also noticed that the K40 jammer's performance was greatly reduced when its lens was coated by road film and dust.
Sorry, these dont sound all that effective to me, especially if the only way to jam the guns is to target the Jammer!!!! You would be better off flushing the $300 these items cost - down the toilet IMO on the other hand the $350 lidatek laser echo seems to actually work radartest.com said:
The Laser Echo with its powerful GaAs laser was the only unit able to defeat all three lasers regardless of where they were aimed. Even when tested with a single transmitter the unit proved highly effective.
Still, am I driving that slow :)...I havent had $350 worth of tickets over the last 15 years - maybe 20 - I feel fairly certain that a $350 investment wont pay off in my case.

1. Get a good radar detector. Older passports and escorts on ebay can be had cheap and they still do a great job.
2. Learn what the cops are driving and learn to spot the cars in a hurry. Ford Crown Vics are only driven by cops and the elderly, always slow down when you see one. Learn to spot Police spec Tahoe's and Impalas.
3. Look for spots on the road where cops can sit and hid. Pay attention to those spots.
4. Pay extreme attention when you drive, look for brake lights. Looks for cars parked in weird spots. Really keep an eye out for the cops, if you can spot them before they spot you, half the battle is one.
5. Keep the speed at night down. Its almost impossible to see a cop car a night.
If I sold you a rock for $200 and told you the same story and it's so good that I'll pay your tickets to a certian amount if you fall into some guide lines. so all I would ever have to pay back is $100 max. and even if every purchaser put in the max claim which you can't if you read the fine print your still one hundred ahead . :mad

Kidna a neat idea... dunno if it would work or not tho...
Rumor has it that the C3's radiator leans back enough that if a radar wave hits it... it bounces it into space... but what happens if it hits your windsheild? :jester
I dont think they have "that" good of aim :D
And it works!! You may laugh, but I know it is working.
Oh, ya.. I forgot.... I also drive the speed limit.... :blueangel:
