The 80 to 82 Vettes use a Dana 44 which has a Yoke of its own. There are Two different ones Yours should use the larger Spicer 1350 U-Joints but You should find out before ordering a replacement. It should use 5/16" bolts to hold the U-Joint straps. Generally clearances are measured between the Shaft and the Yoke to measure wear, and not from the Snap ring Grove to the end of the Yoke. So in answer to Your question, I don't know.
