Ok, just something I thought might interest people on here. These cars I have seen a while ago and I guess quite some Corvette enthusiasts in the Netherlands know of these cars, but I am not entirely sure.
In a shop about an hour from here there are two 1977 prototypes as built by Harry Mann of Harry Mann Chevrolet in the USA. They were based on the C3 and were commisioned by Harry Milne in cooperation with General Motors. They were designed bij Eric Ruffo. The cars were featured extensively in the 1977 press as these cars were thought to replace the Corvette as it was built at that time in 1978.
I don't totally agree with you there. I do kind of like the convertible, but they are an odd shape. Thought it'd be nice to post the pics I once took in their showroom...
Other than that, I don't really care to have one of those either ;)
I actually like the coupe (the 77) a little better, the other one has an uglier front IMO.
I've been ther many many times and I just can't get the Corvette feeling with those cars. They look like a crossbreed between a DeTomaso Pantera, a Camaro and a little bit Corvette.
Also, the price is quite high at 70K especially considering the 1st 53 vette sold to the public went on ebaymotors.com a few weeks ago for around 90. That's a lot more desireable car than this.
These are the papers beloging to the cars, the owner has them for both cars. I don't think they're world famous too since no one seems to know these cars :)

I guess the "world famous" is in regard of the cars being published in a couple of magazines in 1978. Thinking about it... are we really expected to know all cars published ;)
Didn't know about the 1st Vette being sold for 90K. Not bad at all... Now that would be a nice car to own :)
