door hinge spring replacement

Can the hinge spring be replaced without changing the hinge?[1977] :confused:

Thanks for the tip. G.M. sells only the complete hinge. Would a spring off a diff. G.M. model car work or does it have to be corvette?

The vendors sell just the hinge pin, and they sell it with the installation tool too. I think for the tool and pin it is like $25.00 US

The "S" hinge spring is a common part for the era. Give-or-take $8 USD.
