MSD Rev limiter
I have installed an MSD mechanical tach drive distributor, to work with the original 73 tach. Also the MSD coil. Should I use the 6AL rev limiter box, will it work with the mechanical tach. Or go with the simpiler MSD 6A box. The car is running an automatic 700R4 OD tranny. Thanks for the great help on this forum. Go C3's!

I run the 6AL-2 with my MSD mechanical tach drive distributor. It is basically the 6AL with a second limiter. The limiter works just fine. You probably don't need to spend the money on the 6AL unless you'll be locking the distributor and doing your ignition timing with the box but that's up to you

I had the 6AL box with the single rev limiter. Do you need it? depends on how you drive it. If it's a street car, probably not. But the box with the rev limiter is only a few bucks more than one without. The box has no affect the tach drive.
