82 alternator wiring question...
On the 82 crossfire, can someone describe where exactly the alternator connector goes to? I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem with a new alternator. I just got my car back from being worked on (cam, bunch of stuff) and the old alternator positive cable stud was bad so I bought a remanufactured one from Oreilly. This one isn't working either, my battery died after 10 minutes. I'm thinking the alternator connector wire is not plugged in on the other side. The crossfire forum is down, so I can't look for the diagram there.

There's only one conenctor on the side and then there's a charge wire (thick red) and a ground, that's all. Can't be that diffiult. If it's not charging, have you checked the diodes? Also, check if the wires are conencted properly to the junction block next to the battery (on the fiberglass, fender side)
