install a 30 PSI oil warning light
ever wonder if going around a fast corner causes the oil pump to suck in some air?
Do you check the oil pressure gauge every 15 seconds?
i have installed a sender that triggers a red light on top the dash if pressure drops below 30.
i used black construction paper to roll a tube about the size of a cigarette, with a red light inside. the black paper makes it blend in with the dash, and the 3" tube, with the bulb in the back, shields it from sunlight.
a little elmers glue seals the tube and attaches it to the dash.
The light flickers when hot at idle in drive, right at 30.
Now i check the gauge once a month :lol:

the gauge is still there to check anytime you want, the light warns you when you are NOT looking at it.

very cool Matt.....A lot of guy into serious racing use these, but get them from autometer. ive been thinking about adding once, cause at WOT going down the track, I dont have the time to look at hte gauge, so if something goes wrong, itll blare in my eyes. Looks just like a shift light, but in red.
