1976 Stingray. All parts required to raise body have been removed. All body mount bolts are out...except #2. It just keeps spinning. I raised the body as much as possible and it lifted the frame off of the front and rear jack stands.
I have avoided cutting the bolt head off since it still gives me some hope that by turning it that it will eventually come out. I think I have given up on that.
Any recomendations from anyone who has had a similar problem?
I just ended up cutting the bolt head off. The nut is held in a cage and at this stage the cage is no longer stopping it from spinning. You basically have no other option at this point.

Agreed!! and the new rubber mounts come with new bolts anyway!

It's a long shot but if you can get to the cage itself with a channel lock or pliers and squeeze the cage enough to stop the bolt from turning you might get lucky.

This was supposed to be a simple change of body mount rubber. I had a feeling something was going to become difficult. It looks like I will have to cut it then put a new #2 mount on the frame.
