No power

I took my 76 to the muffler shop Monday. It cut when I pulled into the lot. There is no power to the interior or alternator. There is power at the starter .The fuse box is dead. Does any one have a idea as to what has happened

Large orange wire connecting battery to fuse box is loose or out. Look for large orange wire coming from battery to fuse box.

It may sound funny but I've had it happen with a complete battery failure with no warning. One of the cells of the battery just disconnected internally. Quality ain't what it used to be. This just happened last year. Check across the battery terminals.

It might be the fusible link at the starter.

I replaced the wire with 30 amp inline fuse, only one wire going into fuse box has power nothing coming out. no power at the ignition switch.
