What is the procedure to replace the a/c / heater blower motor? I see the A/C lines going into the box. When you open the box does it open the A/C system?
look under your pass. side fender from inside the engine compartment youll see the blower motor right there,,it unscrews from the outside .there should be 5 screws with one having a ground tab on it remove that wire and the hot wire from the motor.
also you might have to remove your coolant overflow bottle to get it out too.

I just did mine yesterday--on my 82--and condsider myself lucky to have LIVED through it. The motor won't come out through the top--at least on an 82. I had to work it via removal of the fender louver and manipulate it through the chassis. That, after removing the squirrel cage fan from the motor while it was still in the car. The motor with the fan attached will not fit through the opening in the chassis . . . had to seperate them first. All total . . . it took about 6 hours--and guess what--it still doesn't work. Since I already replaced the relay, it must be the resister on top of the box. That's next--once swelling in both my wrists goes down. If I had it to do all over again . . . I'd pay someone the $160 or so bucks to do it.
