Thirsty Battery?
I'm having to add distilled water to my Interstate Megatron about every two weeks. And not just a little water - the electrolyte level is almost down to the top of the plates.
Seems to charge up and hold a charge OK. No case leaks.
Any idea what's causing this?

Over charging the battery by a bad regulator? what voltage do you have at the battery when it's running-over 14.5? Do you smell acid in the compartment?

might be time for a new battery. you can only dilute out that acid so much. id be concerned with a leaking battery. you might have a cracked battery cap. this will cause evaporation of water. here's thought. instead of using water, purchase battery acid and try to replace lost fluid with the acid. i dont know if it will work but it is only a thought.
