as some of you know I have been having a battle with my rear end, and last month it was my LH rear bearings. Then my diff and now I was removing the diff once again ( getting pretty good at it by now ) and I noticed some clunking when I was disconnecting my LH half shaft :mad :mad I thought it was the play in the spindels in my diff but no it is the bearing assy, I can see the whole spindel moving :mad :mad :mad :mad this is driving me crazy. I had set the end play to 2 thou and it only took about 300 miles to F**K up again.
I am tempted to take it off the road for the rest of the year.
Actually, this picture is more assembled than it is right now! The TA's and half shaft's aren't in the car anymore.
It all started with one broken spring mounting bolt in the differential. :cry
Well, I think any 30 near year old car is going to have it's full share of troubled, even IF it sits ina garage doing nothing for years all the grease and oils dry out....bearings can get moisture in them...and it's only a matter of time....
when I bought my car, I took over a month examining everything in turn...tore the entire suspension out front and rear, and replaced everything that moved....
now that may be overkill, but for the lo bux parts cost involved..call it piece of mind....
