Nothing insurmountable. Check the port for the Coolant Temp sensor, make sure it's big enough, I had re-drill and tap mine, it was much too small for the sensor. Also, make sure the studs and screws for the lid are long enough. The countersunk ones were fine, but the others I had to replace with longer ones, easy to get at the hardware store. I also needed spacers for the distributor. I've talked to others that had absolutely no issues though. Just go through it and check it out so you know if you need to do anything. Even with all that I'm really happy with the performance of the manifold, just wish the quality control was a little better. You probably won't have any issues, I just have crappy luck sometimes with parts it seems. I got all my issues straight very quickly.
very nice, and yes I am jealous....
I already have 2 spare stock manifolds and don't know if I'll ever get around to modifying or use them let alone a Renegade purchase which I would love to have.....
Keep us posted when you do the install, always good see 82's getting upgraded...... Tom
Nice piece. Sometimes I wish I had an '82 just to see how much I could get out of the engine.
Thanks. When I first bought the 82 I considered taking the crossfire completely off and doing something different. But the more I drove it the more I liked it. CFI gets alot more bad rap than it deserves imo. Just the main thing holding it back is the manifold and computer. They really can be pretty fast (I still consider 12's fast for a mild build).
if you can,,,, take your car the way it is and get it dynoed, then put on the renegade ..lots of hype on the this intake put never any hard numbers.i think the intake looks great and should perform well ,but the numbers would be nice.

Or I could take it to the track and look at how many mph it picks up. You can get pretty close estimates of hp increase like that. Plus, it's more fun than the dyno.
