Steeroids movement in the tie rod bracket
While under the car today i checked for anything loose on the steeroids steering rack but could find nothing apart from a lot of movement in the tie rod bracket thats mounted in the center to the steering rack .There is no side to side movement but when i twist the plate i can get several millimeters of movement ,I know there is supposed to be some but does anyone know how much is to much ,also when i twist it back and forth i can sort of create a similar tone of a single click to what i am hearing when the car is moving except thats a continuous rubbing noise ,but that could just be a coincidence. The rack has been on the Corvette 5 years and done around 18k miles without issue and i'm hoping its not worn out already .As i'm in the uk i would suspect if it needed a rebuild i would not be able to get parts over here .
Any idea and help would be much appreciated
However can anyone with the steeroids steering fitted tell me if they get much movement as my track rod plate twists and with the car jacked up and rocking the wheels at 3 and 9 o'clock i get a lot of movement of the steering rods as they twist with the track rod plate without it turning the steering wheel .I cannot find any rack mount brackets loose.

I hope that the OP can pinpoint the issue and keep on, carrying on, racking (sic) up mileage beyond the 18K it has run.
Properly installed R&P units have delivered 10's of thousands of trouble-free miles with no worries. After inspection and/or adjustment, I hope that is the case here.
I checked with my mechanic friend up on a ramp over the Easter weekend and found that although the bolts in the tie rod plate holding the plate to the rack felt very tight it must have been the lock-tite that gave that impression as when we took them out and checked visually behind the gaiter and the tie rod ends for any wear and found nothing we re-tightened the bolts back down and found that there was a lot less movement in the tie rod plate and movement in the wheels between the 3 and 9 o clock position had almost gone ,so it must have been that the two bolts needed to be re-torqued down ,I’ve done about 100 miles since then and its much better but if over the next few miles I get the movement coming back again I will change the nylon follower behind the tie rod plate with a steel one as suggested by Speed Direct .
So thank you for your help on this
