1976 Corvette won't start

I just bought in 1976 Corvette stingray A couple weeks ago to restore. When I bought the car it started right up with no issues. The guy I bought it from said sometimes when the steering wheel tilt was all the way up it would not even turn over like it was a dead battery but when you tilted it down it would fire right up. Well now I can't get it to turn over at all even when I mess with the tilt position. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what to check for when it comes to the ignition maybe or steering wheel harness? I am thinkinging it has to be an electric issue since just 2 days ago I was able to start it up with no problems. Any info would help greatly. Thanks

My 76 has never started w/ the tilt in the full up position. I was told once that it has to do w/ the ignition switch itself . I'm sure others will chime in. Good luck and keep us updated.

could also be the neutral safety switch, try moving the shifter (automatic) or starting in neutral.
