Finally getting down to the nitty-gritty on this thing. Got her all sealed up this weekend and ready for the primer and paint. Thanks to Lars for writing his tips on painting that gave me the confidence to tackle this painting job. What do you guys think? There is more pics on my web sight.
Steve looking very very good.
I hope to be at the same spot you are in December.
Just saving for the panels and sittin and waitin and sittin and waitin.
Can't wait to see more as things progress.
Did you first shoot the body with a 2 part epoxy to seal in the glass?

James, thanks for the compliment. I know how ya feel about saving. I have been saving for the past 5 years to get to this point. I used the DP series epoxy/sealer to seal the body. I have a few very little pin holes that I need to fill before I prime it. Hopefully I will have it ready to paint in a week or so.

Looks GREAT.......That is what they are using (DP) to seal my car as well.....When they are done getting the 7 layers of paint off the car
:seeya Be careful with plastic because it will let some of the paint overspray come off the plastic when the air pressure of the spray gun hits it! :yesnod: "Congratulations" it does look like you did a great job!
Looking fantastic my friend. Mine was just in that stage. Now I am into the fun stuff of trying to bolt it back together with all the little things. Hang in there buddy your almost home.
Lookin' like a vette again, Steve. Plastic ? I thought that was a new
self-adhesive clear coat.
I will be attempting the paint myself, also. Lars' paper is very helpful for
the do-it-yourselfer. Also, I have (luckily) friends that work in body shops.
Maybe by Spring, I'll be spraying sealer.
