Default Headlights opening slightly when engine is running

Gents,

I am looking for your two cents. When the engine is running my one headlight opens up about a 1/2 inch, and the other a very small amount, when they are in the off position. Could this be the actuator clevis adjustment, or defective relays? When the engine is off, they sit flush when retracted. Any ideas?

Should the clevis be adjusted so that the clevis pin is touching the forward part of the clevis pin guide/slot?

Thanks for your help.

If the valves are working properly they should be trying to pull the headlights closed though, not pop them open.

I think I'd check the relays to make sure they are not stuck slightly open first since it's easy. Swap the lines to the two headlights and see if the 1/2 opening moves. Yes = relays, No = headlight adjustments

Then crawl under and see if all 4 springs are still there and attached

!!! WATCH OUT FOR THE PLASTIC HEADLIGHT WARNING SWITCH THAT EVERYONE BREAKS OFF WHEN REACHING AROUND UNDER THERE !!!!!

The clevis adjustment is done it the up position (holds the headlight tight against the stop along with the springs to keep them from fluttering.
