neutral safety switch is the cause of your issue inside console, either broken or out of adjustment

Default 75 stingray

Goes in park but have push forward about 1/8inch. Does the plastic at bottom of shifter have anything to cause my issue?

As MelWff says, the switch is either out of position or broken

Near the bottom of the first post here
