Stopped for gas on the way to work (6:30ish) a guy pulls up to the other island, walks by and says, Nice Ride. I felt pretty good about it until I saw the guy buy a Bud Tallboy for breakfast. then I felt wierd since the compliment came from a loser who opens a beer for breakfast
How do ya know it was breaksfast? Not everyone (like me) works the day shift...... Maybe the Dude was on his way home from work........
Back home when I am in the states I work the night shift. And I stand in my driveway in the morning and drink me a cold Bud light and laugh at my neighbors that go by. I can just imagine what they think I do for a living.

Yup, been there. Worked 3rd shift one summer during college. Cracked my 1st beer at 8AM as Pop was leaving for the office. Must have killed him because I am sure he would rather have joined me than head to the office. :yesnod: (Oh, I feel his pain now... :cry)
i honestly don't get that many compliments on my car. i mostly get looks like "yeah, you think you're cool." i did get a compliment today though. this woman goes, "nice car, i have an '89." just goes to show you that people who are happy with their own rides will compliment yours.
I think we have all been there at one time or another. beer in the morning........Canadian beer yet.......much better.........aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh .
Thats right you guys don't have canadian beer
Got a "nice ride" from a couple of homeless types downtown the other day. I gave 'em a big grin and a thumbs up. Just makes you grateful to be in your own shoes.

Feel good about any compliment - unless it's sarcastic.
Also feel good that the guy hadn't just cracked a bottle of JD - and was then
close behind you in his old rusty pickup.
