Putting my dipstick tube back in my 77 and it fits in there loosely. Is there an oring on the end of the 77 tube. Seems tube lip will not come flush with block. Looks like it needs the oring. Also is it suppose to fit loosely. Thanks

Well, my 69 BB was about the same so I put a O ring on it. Not sure if original or not, but it doesn't leak.
