The lever on my '78 doesn't screw in, it just pushes in----"Havesometo" has shown you the correct part it pushes into.----boB
this is the part, is it what yall are talking about? its on a telescopic and tilt column if that makes any difference
Hey, Yes, That must be the part! I was having the same problem as you. I purchased the lever (for tilt and tele) column. When I went to install it, I found the two wires for cruise are threaded into the column and the lever is just pushed into the column and you just pull on the lever to remove it. However----my problem didn't end there, when I signal a turn, the lever moves an inch or more before the mechanism engages. This loose play is only evident in one direction. When signalling in the other direction---it seems firm and works okay. I was considering a small amount of epoxy on the end of the lever. I supposed that the part might be worn and the lever is a sloppy fit. Any ideas?---I apologize if I am interrupting or butting in to this thread, I started out trying to help.--boB
hate to keep bothering you with this but i looked at the link but no parts come up, just takes me to the home page. do you happen to know what the part was called so i can look it up?
With the change in the website... also came a change in all the links. So what was good on the 20th is not a good link now. Here is the info you are looking for. The tech pictures for now... can all be found at http://www.repairs.willcoxcorvette.com
The pivot is not available new and I don't have any used. You'll have to search the part numbers below and hope you can turn one up.
