Driver side mirror has gone "limp". I have another one but can't mount it due to a screw having been broken off in the mounting shaft long ago. If I use this replacement the only choice I will have is to finish drilling completely through the mirror mount, then use a beveled flat head screw and insert from the top. The nut will not show too bad (being on the down side of the mirror mount I might get the nut up into the indented hole far enough so I won't be seen).
But before I do this....question. Is there a way to seperate the ball and socket part of the good mirror and use it on the good mirror mount? It looks as if this part screws into the mirror shaft. could I take a pair of needle nose and back the good mirror out of the shaft?
Thanks
