Seal for tranny tunnel
On the subject of cabin heat, what is best to stop engine heat from blowing in thru the console/shifter area? Was there originally an air block on top of the bellhousing?

I purchased the foam type collar seal from Dr. Rebuild and it real made a huge improvement in lowering the heat level in the interior and especially at the transmission tunnel. All you do is push it in between the bellhousing and the body - no glue or anything. I believe most of the Corvette parts suppliers sell the foam collar.
