Carfax anyone?

Carfax anyone?
Anybody out there that can get a Carfax for me on my Vette? I have been discovering that it has a number of '76 parts on it (wheels, rear bumper cover...) which I find disturbing because it's a '75.

I think Carfax only goes back to 81, but they have a section about "older than 81". I became discouraged when they didn't have my purchase last year. I guess I don't really understand/appreciate Carfax...

CarFax is a wonderful tool... used to shop for late-model vehicles. Records only go as far back as the 17-character VIN number, which means all but the youngest Sharks are excluded. While they could not help me on my Corvette purchase, CarFax has helped me with purchases for my wife's transportation and has been a huge benefit.
You can sign up for unlimited reports for a limited time, but you should be able to ask any dealer for a CarFax report on any vehicle. If they do not readily provide one, walk away. They are hiding something. :yesnod:
