Default 049 Head Question

I am going to look at a set of 049 heads tomorrow and the guy just replied that he realized the heads had different build days. Does this matter? The engine is obviously not original and the heads will be worked before being installed.

Thanks

As long as the casting numbers match, you should be in the same ballpark. Of course any reliable engine shop will cc the heads no matter what, in order to remove all doubt

Original engines hardly ever had the same date on heads.
