I just replaced the headlight switch, relays, actuators and either replaced or pressure check all vacuum hoses, in addition I also checked the vacuum tank as well as the check valve on my headlight system. Before installing the new parts, I tested each one based on information I found on the Corvette Forum. Good news, my headlights now go up and go down, now the questionable news, I am not sure if they are working like they should. It takes able a minute to move up and lock in place and slow going down when switch is shut off.
Is that normal?
What should my vacuum reading be at the manifold?
I just did the same thing and couldn't believe how fast the go up and down now so that's not normal. I'm guessing you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Start at the engine and work your way through the system. That's my best advice. Hopefully you can find the problem.
