Door Lock on '80
My passenger side door lock mechanism only works when using the key. Even then it's very difficult to lock/unlock. Also my power locks are completely inoperable on both sides. There is power to the switch. Help.

Very common to have grease/dirt caked in the mechanism. I had mine cleaned by a friend with a parts washer last year and reoiled. Smooth as silk now. Might be why your power servos couldn't move the mechanism on there own.

Most probably you have a problem in one or both switches, especially since both doors are not working.
Both switches have to be ok for the powerlocks to work.
I have all schematics at my site, there is also a simplified drawing of the power locks. Also have an article on the charging system.
Highly recommend installing an alarm/keyless entry combination, haven't used my doorkeys for years..:-)
