Default Next Stage in Resto.

Now that the engine is complete, broken in and running great, thanks MM, paint and body work is next. The search is on for the "red" that I well repaint her. Also since I have both the LT-1 hood and the base hood, I will make the base hood into a stinger hood, and switch btn them for a different look from time to time. After the paint will come a new roof and wheels, unless I see something better than the TT II's will go with the 17x8's.

Good idea on the Stinger hood. Stinger hood, thats a funny way to spell a NOS System? :)

I don't think you have it dialed in yet though, ship it to me,I will bring it back! Or pay my Air fare would be a alternate way to get it running perfect ?

How about I fly you out either in the fall or spring after you have recuperated. You are right it is not dialed in yet, but will be soon. I heard through the grape vine that you may start building some hi po engines to sell. Anyone on this forum should jump at the chance to purchase one of your engines. I can see it now, the MountainMotor Express v.1 sb for those of you who want minimal power - 550 hp 610 torque, and for those who want a base bb, 700 hp, 750 torque. These are the base engines, now lets start talking performance, :D

GDH, you may want to rethink the hood thing(I will make the base hood into a stinger hood), those 72 hoods are unique to 72's. They were the only hoods that used the newer style prop out of the 68-72's. The others used the earlier style prop and are all the same. I had a 68-71 hood on mine when I aquired it several years ago and searched for a long time until I found a 72 hood. My .02 worth.

Good point, was over at my mechanic's this morning and he was telling me about cracking problems on those kit scoops. May keep 2 original hoods then.

I bought an LT1 hood off of a forum member back in February that is painted Deltron Torch Red. It is awesome looking. Check it out.
