Yes the tubes were purged w/ argon to prevent scale and oxidation. You can also use a product such as Solar Flux to protect the weld.

The wheels are made by Bonspeed. The style is Huntington.
The most recent updates are rather boring. I've installed master cylinder and hydroboost, ran brake lines, fabricated a couple rear battery mounts, ran cable, installed gas tank, and am building the main wiring harness now.
Once that is done, I'll move to the EFI harness.
Outstanding items are:
Wiring
Fuel lines
Cooling System
Exhaust
Intercooler system
Driveshaft loops
Trans cooling
(And then on to paint and interior)
The end is in sight, but not imminent. I'll get some updated pictures up soon.
