Rocker panel bolts?
I've got broken bolts, how can I remove the thread insert and replace?

an EZ out MIGHT work. probably end up drilling and tapping though

After drilling, did you re-tap the thread or is there an insert available to install?

Why not just get a rebuild kit? They are not expensive. This is from Dr. Rebuild's catalogue.

I got a replacement that bolts on where the old one uded to be.
You drill it out larger and it is like a bolt and a nut thing, pretty slick!

Thanks for the help/ Looks like I need to feed the nuts up from behind and hold them until the bolt is tight. Is that correct?

Notr sure if it's correct or not, but that's what i had to do. The whole time I was wondering how they got away with anything like that in a production environment.

I believe that is correct. It has been a while since I did that job. I simply used #8 or #10 SS machine screws with WD-40 to avoid any future corrosion. When I had my car painted in 2000, the paint shop was amazed that the screws came out easily without a fight.
