Courtesy lights 74 Vette
I'm replacing the 2 courtesy lights , ones broke and the other is shorting out at connection at socket. Which one is the hot wire ? The yellow ? The other is white. I don't have a spec book to find out . I'm replacing with new sockets with LED

Otherwise I suggest an volt meter or spend a few bucks for a test light if you don't have one.
LEDs are great, replaced all the bulbs in my 69 with LED.
