I have a '71 Vette , the head lights worked however when I was ready
to leave to go home they would not come on . Half a mile to go I tried to sneak home . But the law caught me, I explain everything to
the officer . Just had the car inspected everything work fine .
He told me to try the flashers they light up , since I had a short
distance to go he sent me on my way .
Is there a fuse for the head lights or maybe a ground . Thanks ahead
of time for any help you may have .
Do they pop up but not light? If so, try exercising your bright/dim switch. The contacts get corroded from non use. If it's bad, you can buy one at any parts store for a few bucks. There is no fuse, the circuit breaker is built into the headlight switch. Most likely issue, dimmer switch.
