Should I remove heater?
My heater system is in pretty bad shape (not working), the control switch for the heater is cracked and needs to be replaced. In the engine compartment the main cover for the heater core has some cracks in it. If I did fix this it wouldnt be for a few years, and its not even close to a priority. Should I take it out for now? I wont be driving the car in the winter.
The freekin engine on these things gets the cockpit hotter than hell anyway.
I didnt bother to hook mine up. :yesnod:

You might want to seal up the cracks in the cover though, you certainly don't want engine odors (and related deadly gases) blowing into the ventilation system and being nicely distributed throughout the car.
Ater installing a hi-flow water pump, my 25yr old heater core died a violent death a few weeks ago. Luckily it leaked out under the car and not on my new carpet! :D I disconnected the hoses and never will it fire up again. I say..RIP IT OUT!!! the cockpit will stay cooler too.... :D :D :D
