I can't seem to find a "light blue" wire that is supposed to go to the electric choke. It just isn't there! It should go from relay by drivers right knee thru "Connector 115" which I believe is near steering column.
I haven't seen any fotos or in shop manual.
But if somebody could just follow it back to where it dissappears into a harness somewhere...?? Muchas gracias...Stevo 81
Stevo it goes into the harness right where the alt wires go into the harness right above the driver side wheel on the inner finder well. You can see it in the picture on the link below, it is light blue and curled. Hope this helps.
Oh ya...When I got the car, all the wires were disconnected (It had no carb)and when the engine was out at the shop, SOMEBODY tied and tucked the wires in the de-greasing , cleaning, painting process. So I did find it and IT WORKS !!
Uh...however, it is tied to a black with green stripe wire for which I don't see a destination...?? It's about the same length as choke wire. I will be looking at schematic tonite. Thanks again !! Stevo 81
Stevo,
I have a schematic of the engine compartment wiring if you need one. I can scan it and send it to you or post on my web site. It says that the black/green stripe goes to the idle stop. Sorry can't get the image to post here.
Thanks again yb...I see "throttle stop" in the shop manual, but I don't think I have one...is that possible? Nobody has mentioned it being missing...I have a feeling I need another bit of education..."Throttle stop?"...we don't need no stinking throttle stop!!" :smash:
