78, is it true that on all 78-82 with intermittent wipers, if the module fails, you have no wiper at all? I was on lectric Limited looking for something else and saw they have a replacement module which will still allow you to have wipers.
Not sure - it probably depends on how the module fails. My module was bad (79), and the wipers sort of worked, but would not 'park' (and I think the speeds were incorrect, but don't remember for sure). I tested my motor first, just to insure that the problem wasn't there, and then I jumpered the wires on the module (similar to how the Lectric Limited 'bypass' harness does), and everything worked good (just no intermittent - no big deal).
The Lectric Limited harness that I saw basically bypassed the module, and still allows low speed and hi speed to function, just no intermittent. If they are selling a 'module', then that should provide intermittent function also. Since I understood the wiring schematic for the wiper circuit, I was able to figure out which wires to jumper together without buying the Lectric Limited harness (I think there were two sets of wires that needed to be jumpered).
Update, yesterday I went to pick my car up, I had the ac change to 134 and there was a problem. Well it was raining, not enough to have the wiper go all the time, but enough to have them go on pulse. Well, when I put the switch to pulse position, the wiper wiped once and then stayed in the ready position, meaning they did not park. And they set there and set there. Moved the switch to low speed and they worked fine. So I would assume one of the PO's must have jumper out the module. On a positive note, my t-tops didn't leak.

The intermittent wipers on my 79 operate the same way and I'm pretty sure no one has jumpered out the module.
The Lectric Limited unit allows for delay wipe near as I can tell, not just high and low.
